Bluewater’s Winter Garden
Kent, United Kingdom
During an initial visit to the centre it was apparent the existing lighting levels were inadequate; the brief was to introduce a brand new lighting scheme that would increase the levels of daytime illumination, reduce visual clutter and do so using the highest quality, energy saving LED technology and following a rigorous selection process, Architainment specified Philips Color Kinetics iColor Cove MX PC to illuminate the circular, cove detail and ColorBlast PC to light up the glass ceiling; these elements together achieving the atmospheric and contemporary dining environment as detailed in the brief.
Customer feedback
In addition to creating an allover charming and efficient lighting scheme for the Winter Garden, it was also essential that food retailer’s products were visually appealing at point of sale. There is no doubt that the technology supplied by Architainment Lighting was integral in creating a charming, clean and efficient lighting scheme for one of the UK’s largest shopping centres.

Graham Rollins, Lighting Design International London Eye
London, United Kingdom
Previously lit by fluorescent tubes that proved costly to maintain, and required manually installed gels to produce coloured light for special events. Architainment was approached to replace this archaic system with an LED-based alternative. Each fitting of ColorCast 14 can be individually programmed to generate millions of colours that are seamlessly produced by Chromacore technology, as opposed to the use of coloured gels. This technology gives the London Eye the cost-effective ability to display accurate colours for corporate clients and special occasions and is visible from more than a mile away.

Green Wall at Snow Hill Station
Birmingham, United Kingdom
The Green Wall at Birmingham, England’s Snow Hill Station is a mammoth structure that merges nature, architecture — and now, beautiful LED lighting. The impressive junction, which hides a multi-story parking lot and provides a scenic backdrop for the city’s future railroad network, measures 220 m x 7 m (720 ft x 23 ft) and showcases 604 m2 (almost 2000 ft2) of plants, making it the largest “living wall” in Europe. To add organic movement and vivid illumination to the living landmark Architainment specified the elegant white light LED fixtures from Philips Color Kinetics.
