    Customer challenge

Cisco needed a lighting solution for their four-story office that would match its modern and intelligent workspace. The goal was to install a system that would optimise building performance and allow employees to achieve maximum comfort at their desks.

    The right system

The Philips connected lighting system at Waterpark Place integrates seamlessly with Cisco’s Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) IT architecture.

The connected luminaires are a portal to data, energy savings, sustainability, and personal comfort. They merge with the building’s IT network and are uniquely identified by IP address, allowing them to be individually monitored, managed, and controlled.

Each light point sends and receives data, allowing managers to track occupancy patterns, changes in temperature, and more while employees can personalise the lighting in their workspaces. Overall, the system offers maximum visibility and better control, and allows Cisco to reduce energy consumption in their office spaces.

The building has been recognised as the most innovative workplace by CoreNet, an event that awards and recognises real estate practices. Waterpark Place is just a glimpse into the kinds of office environments Philips and Cisco will bring to professional buildings around the world.
